Piloting weather satellite programmes
The main goal of the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) is to provide satellite data, images and products linked to the weather and the climate. This information is provided to the national meteorological services of the organisation’s Member and Co-operating states in Europe, as well as other users throughout the world.
The role of the Programme Preparation and Development department is to design and build operational satellite systems.
Our PMOs define the key performance indicators, tools and processes common to all programmes.
This is followed by implementation with the operational PMO supporting the different programmes.
Our service extends right up to training and planning (including media design).
